It's been a while since we last spoke with Sadie from season 4. We interviewed her recently to see how things have been since she left Justin and her season aired in August of 2022. Let's just say it wasn't smooth sailing!

A few of the topics discussed:

  • Did the court grant Sadie a restraining order against Justin? How to deal with someone with 'connections' with the police, lawyers etc.
  • What is it like co-parenting with an abusive ex?
  • How to deal with parent alienation
  • Do you try to warn the next victim or not?
  • Does Sadie have a new boyfriend and what has dating been like
  • Finding the silver lining in a bad situation and making peace with your past

As a reminder of her season:
Sadie grew up with a narcissistic father who eventually unalived himself - leaving her and her family to pick up the pieces. During a weekend trip, Sadie met Justin in Texas and they began a whirlwind romance that resulted in her moving to be with him. It wasn't long before the relationship got abusive and the cycle went on for almost ten years before things came to a head - sending Sadie to the hospital and The A-Team [Athena and Amber] to her rescue!
